Compass Reaches Major Milestone
Mirvac has today celebrated the upcoming completion of their Compass Latitude Leighton Beach project with West Australian Minister for Transport and Planning Rita Saffioti.
Compass will reach completion ahead of schedule and in time for residents to move in before summer. The 104 apartment development is Mirvac’s final stage within its Leighton Beach precinct, the culmination of 15 years work in the area.
Compass features a range of 1, 2 and 3-bedroom apartments and a rooftop terrace with views from Fremantle to Cottesloe. Residents will be able to make the most of their beachside lifestyle by entertaining or relaxing in a range of open air or covered spaces, with greenery, a fire pit and BBQ facilities.
Mirvac General Manager for Residential Development in Western Australia, Paige Walker, said that the project’s success can be attributed to its unique offering and attainable price point, which has been further aided with recent State Government grants and incentives.
“Compass offers an unrivalled and connected beachside lifestyle with public transport, public open space and an array of local eateries. This prime location, along with the quality and attention to detail Mirvac is known for, has resulted in strong uptake from buyers.
“There is a new appreciation of what living in Western Australia has to offer, with plenty of open space, beautiful beaches and other natural attractions. Compass is a celebration of this way of life,” said Ms Walker.
Prior to Compass, Mirvac delivered three completed buildings within the precinct, Beachside Leighton, Prima and Meridian, as well as a range of community amenities such as the Fremantle Surf Life Saving Club, amphitheater and hospitality outlets.
Mirvac Head of Residential Stuart Penklis said it is pleasing to see the vision for the precinct being realised.
“Since our involvement began in 2006, the Latitude Leighton Beach precinct has evolved and been embraced by the North Fremantle community. The precinct reflects Mirvac’s commitment to creating enduring places with a strong focus on quality and amenity,” said Mr Penklis.
“We have responded to our customers’ needs over time as well as market conditions, which has resulted in a thriving community predominately consisting of owner-occupiers. We are proud of our contribution to the area and see this as a progressive development for WA.”
In addition to the existing hospitality venues including Bib & Tucker, MRKT Space and Jessie’s at the Beach, a new small bar is set to open in the Prima building, which will further add to the vibrancy and convenience of the precinct.
